This sucks.
Savers with Icesave have lost their savings as the bank is declared insolvent. The Icelandic government took control of the bank and has prevented savers taking their money out. Why can’t the mortgage companies go bust and leave the home owners with no debts to pay. As sort of reverse insolvency.
