On Monday evening this week a friend died in a tragic car accident as he returned home to his wife and two daughters.

Damien brought so much to the village contributing to events, bringing style and elegance to every occasion.  (Seen here comparing last years Summer ball).

It was only at the weekend that we were on the Old Cricket Common playing with a boomerang, trying to get it to come back. 

His sudden departure is a shock and leads to many feelings that we just don’t expect.  It is a good time to take a moment to reflect where we are and how we are reacting to those around us. 

Damien will be truly missed.  The world is a smaller place without you.
