My grand plan of having two entries into the Gravity Grand Prix have come crashing down to earth. 

Having successfully built the Crimson Haybailer my attempt to build the speed cart has ended in disaster.  Having carefully built a frame and ensured that the measurements were correct I had started to paper mache the structure.  However in an attempt to move the cart into the garage it fell apart enough so that it could not be rescued. 

The material is now in the recycling bin awaiting collection.  My dreams are in the dust.

All is not lost as we still have the fantastic cart that has been completed and I have decided to start drawing up some plans for the 2010 race!
