The Cookham Dean Gravity Grand Prix (September 13th) is sneaking up and so I have started to build this years entry.

Starting with the bare kart that I used last year I have decided to attempt to build the Crimson Haybailer from Wacky Races.

From the race this is Car Number 4: The Crimson Haybailer, driven by Red Max – an air ace (loosely based on WWI German aviator, Max Immelmann) in a car/plane hybrid that was capable of limited flight, usually just enough to leapfrog over racers and/or obstacles in its path. The Crimson Haybailer also had a machine gun mounted, which was sporadically used.

I think that getting the cart to jump other competitors may be a little difficult, however I like the idea of the gun!
