Rob &  James have been let down by the helicopter that was supposed to airlift them to the pole so that they could start their journey. 

Instead they have decided to get to the stating point using dogsleds.  They are really excited about this as it means that they will be underway soon and also reduce the carbon footprint by not using the helicopter.

Side note – have you ever wondered why the lead dog is such a great position?

- you don’t have your nose us another dogs bottom the whole time!

As for the musher or the person riding the sled, hard luck you are always going to be behind all those dogs.
