In the last few years the Red Kite has been reintroduced to the South East of England. You see a few of these birds circling in the sky above the farmland as they hunt for small creatures to eat.
However I was shocked on Saturday to see about 50 of these birds all wheeling and diving near to my home.
Unfortunately this is taken from a camera phone, however I managed to count 42 birds in this image and I know that there were more below the hedge row. So it would appear that the red kites have found a fantastic place to have a social. A bit like the rest of us.
